University of Georgia

The East Village Commons, designed by Collins Cooper Carusi Architects, Inc. (Atlanta, GA) is the gateway to the University of Georgia’s newly developed East Campus. The East Village Commons is composed of a student center and dining facility that will serve the residences of the new 1200 bed East Campus Village Housing complex. The facility includes a 580 seat dining hall with a servery, kitchen, cyber cafe, student common areas, administrative offices and production kitchen for the University's satellite food operations. According to Collins Cooper Carusi’s interior architect, Fiona J. Grandowski, AIA "Gammapar was a great choice for the cafe on the lower level of UGA's East Village Commons. It’s aesthetically appealing and has outstanding durability – perfect for a student environment." Gammapar's 4" Red Oak Grey (UV finish) is featured throughout the above 1,800 square foot cafe & sandwich shop. Photos by Rion Rizzo / Creative Sources Photography Inc.
