Good things come to those who wait. It takes years for an oak to be mature enough for harvesting, and even longer for the wood taken from it to achieve the character you see in our distressed oak flooring. It’s a process you can’t rush and you certainly can’t fake. We collected this old lumber from all over the country to make our distressed oak flooring. From destroyed tobacco warehouses in Winston, North Carolina and razed log cabins scattered across the Southeast. From tobacco sleds and corn bins. Even from whiskey warehouses found around illegal distilleries in Franklin County, Virginia, where moonshine has been a way of life for generations. No, wood this remarkable can’t be created overnight. But once you see it, you’ll know it was worth the wait.
